The Great White Place translates as Etosha, a vast salt pan which it’s said you can see from space.

In recent years the parks size has reduced in size but is still an impressive 2.2 million hectares and is rich in wildlife due to the regions diverse eco-systems – salt pans, grasslands and woodland.
The park is well equipped for visitors, with camp and rest areas within the park. You can either self-drive through the park or take guided tours though its varied landscapes. Most wildlife will congregate around waterholes which makes viewing the parks abundant wildlife easy, though there is much to see beyond them.
Etosha is a great place to spend 3 or 4 night and has the most choice of accommodation; from simple camps and comfortable lodges to luxurious private reserves.
Damaraland is often the last stop before Etosha and offers visitors some fascinating landscapes and wildlife opportunities. There are several lodge and camping opportunities in the area for example Etendeka where it’s possible to hike and Mowani with its unique rock formations. Highlights of Damaraland include searching for desert adapted elephants and ancient rock are of Twyfeltfontein. Accessible from the Skeleton coast, Damaraland is a worthwhile stopover before continuing to Etosha
